Nautica is Latvia’s longest-running yacht & motor-yacht captain school (since 2008). If you live in Latvia and need an internationally recognised boating licence, this is where you get it.

Why you need a Latvian issuer

Under UN ECE Resolution 40, citizens and legal residents of Latvia must obtain their ICC (International Certificate of Competence) from their own national issuing authority — not from a foreign sailing school. Nautica is an established Latvian captain school that prepares you for, and issues, the certificates recognised at home and abroad.

What the ICC covers

The International Certificate of Competence lets you skipper recreational sail and motor vessels abroad — for charter, your own boat, or coastal cruising — and is accepted across most European and Mediterranean charter bases.

Certificate levels we offer

  • Inland waters operator — rivers, lakes, inland waterways
  • Coastal / territorial waters — Baltic coast and territorial sea
  • Yacht skipper (ICC) — international recreational craft
  • Yacht captain & offshore — advanced and commercial-track qualifications
